Hello, I'm Amber Pittman

Full Stack Web Developer
Based In Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

About Me

Travel blogger turned software developer.

Despite my intense devotion to experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, and finding adventures in new locales, I kept gravitating toward learning to program.

Like many before me, I spent numerous hours teaching myself how to code. Without having developer friends to help me figure out where I made my mistakes in my work, I realized I needed to consider a professional learning environment

Although I do hold a degree, I chose to go to Lambda School for my Full Stack Web Development knowledge.

Through Lambda School, I gained valuable knowledge needed for professional developers. Meanwhile, I found my community. A community of diverse lives with different backgrounds from mine. While seemingly quite different, I've made many friends who are equally excited about software development as I am.

Additionally, I was able to extend my own knowledge gained from Lambda School and became a Team Lead for another cohort. I oversaw 15 students during this time. I managed them, helped them understand the learning modules better, provided outside resources to expand on what was taught in the curriculum.
